The Kalibobo Express is a modern aluminium passenger ferry, featuring a sleek and robust design constructed in 2022. With a total length of 22 meters, this vessel harmonises impressive speed capabilities with comfortable amenities, ensuring a smooth and pleasurable voyage for passengers.

Powered by two John Deere engines, the Kalibobo Express can achieve speeds of up to 22 knots under light load conditions, making it an excellent choice for swift transportation across the water. Even when fully laden, it maintains a respectable cruising speed of 15-17 knots, guaranteeing efficient and punctual travel. Additionally, for more relaxed manoeuvring or navigation through congested areas, the vessel can comfortably sustain a loiter speed of 8 knots.

Designed to accommodate a maximum of 150 passengers, the Kalibobo Express places a strong emphasis on passenger comfort and convenience. Its fully air-conditioned interior ensures a pleasant atmosphere regardless of external conditions, while both internal and external seating areas offer passengers a choice between panoramic views or sheltered relaxation. Furthermore, a dedicated luggage compartment provides ample space for passengers to securely store their belongings during the journey.

Equipped with four marine toilets, including one specially designed for disabled passengers, the Kalibobo Express prioritises accessibility for all travellers. Constructed to adhere to Australian NSCV Class 1B standards, as well as NMSA (PNG) and AMSA (Australia) survey requirements, the vessel maintains a high standard of safety and regulatory compliance, ensuring peace of mind for both passengers and crew.

To facilitate seamless embarkation and disembarkation, the Kalibobo Express features a front-loading ramp, enabling smooth transitions for passengers and cargo alike. Additionally, an electric 500 KG hydraulic davit enhances the vessel's capabilities for handling equipment and supplies.
